Derek Lin

Hi ! I am a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I recently graduated with a bachelor degree in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, achieving a GPA of 4.03/4.3. My academic interests revolve around Computer Systems, particularly Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and Systems for Machine Learning.

During my internship at ASML, I developed a Python-based wafer monitoring system, implementing features like arcing detection, task scheduling, and fab machine configuration synchronization. Previously, at Trend Micro, I worked as an R&D intern, where I successfully migrated the team’s continuous integration process from Jenkins to GitHub Actions, optimized build code, and reduced build time by 67%.

Beyond internships, I’ve actively participated in hackathons and earned notable accolades, including 1st place at TSMC IT CareerHack and the Enterprise Challenge Award at Gen-AI Star.
