Derek Lin

Hi! I’m a Computer Science major at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, currently holding a GPA of 4.02/4.3. My academic interest centers on Computer Systems, specifically on Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and Systems for Machine Learning.

During my internship at ASML, I developed a Python-based wafer monitoring system, implemented features like arcing detection, task scheduling, and fab machine configuration synchronization. Previously, at Trend Micro, I worked as an R&D intern, where I successfully migrated the team’s continuous integration process from Jenkins to GitHub Actions, optimized build code, and reduced build time by 67%.

Outside of internships, I’ve actively participated in hackathons and earned notable accolades, including 1st place at TSMC IT CareerHack and the Enterprise Challenge Award at Gen-AI Star.
